The Arctic has no end of great adventures, but Alaska is a big state, full of natural wonders and National Parks, so we are offering a few Alaskan adventures south of the Arctic Circle. If you have traveled with us many times before and feel that you have been everywhere in the arctic, or if you are new to Alaskan adventure travel, there is something for everyone on our subarctic trips. The weather on these trips tends to be a little bit warmer than our arctic trips, but they are just as wild.
In 2010, we will return to Yukon Charley Rivers National Preserve to paddle the fast paced Charley River. We have also included a basecamp trip in the incomparably remote Geyser Bight way out on Umnak
Island in the Aleutians. Sea-birds and marine life abound in the waterwhile Old faithful style Geysers shoot into the air. Closer to home we will raft on
the Kanuti River and enjoy its hotsprings. Plus we will return to the frothy, glacier studded Copper River in Wrangell St. Elias National Park too.
Read the trip itineraries for more details. Some years we explore Katmai National Park, Aniakchak Crater and dozens of other remote areas in the state. If you have an idea for a trip in Alaska please don't hesitate to suggest a custom trip.
